Our Programs

The READucate Program is designed to enable any literate person (in english) to teach others to read and write. There are two components:

  • the Learn to Teach Program involves training a literate person on the READucate literacy method and the practical application of the comprehensive READucate Teaching Guide and accompanying Learner Books

  • the Learn to Read Program is where individuals are taught to read and write by using the READucate method and READucate Learner Books.

What makes the READucate Program so effective?

  • The comprehensiveness and practical design of the Teaching Guide means any literate person can teach another person to read and write

  • A community focus through local partnerships lifts visibility and uptake

  • Content has been developed to be adapted to be relevant within specific cultural and community contexts.
